The FME TVET Initiative provides start-up assistance, ₦45,000 monthly stipends, fully funded training with a certificate, and the chance to acquire technical and vocational skills relevant to the industry.

Two adaptable training options are available through the TVET Initiative to fit your objectives and background:

Programme for Short-Term Certificates (STC)
Time frame: 6 months
Ideal For: People with no formal educational background, school dropouts, or first-time trainees.

Entry Requirements:
✅ Valid National Identification Number (NIN)
✅ Valid Bank Verification Number (BVN)
No prior educational qualification required. This track is designed for individuals ready to learn a practical skill and enter the workforce quickly.

Vocational Education & Innovation (VEI) Programme

Duration: 1 year
Ideal For: Individuals with some education or informal training experience, looking to deepen and formalise their skills.

Entry Requirements (any of the following):

✅ Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – proof of skills acquired informally or through apprenticeship

✅ First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC)

How To Submit Your FME TVET Application Portal: Step by Step

FME TVET Portal Login Procedures

Step 1: The first step is to visit the tvet education gov.ng website.

On the website, more details about the FME TVET Initiative are provided, including answers to your likely questions.

Step 2: Once you have read the details and are ready to proceed, click APPLY

Step 3: This page is the NIN verification page. You will be required to input your NIN number and your date of birth (DOB).

Once you click proceed, you will then be asked to input your phone number and a valid email address. An SMS will be sent to your phone number with which your NIN was registered.

Next, you will be directed to a login page, meaning that your account with the TVET has been created.

Step 4: Choose your preferred programme – (STC or VEI).

There are two types of programs you can apply for on the TVET Application Portal:
